This weekend was amazing. We thought that the jubilee weekend would hard to top but this weekend was just as good and all thanks to the Rising Sun Riders.

Saturday started just like any other Saturday, people going about their business, having a leisurely breakfast, planning their day when the quiet was broken by the sound of motorbike engines roaring into the car park.

It was quite a sight to behold, and we all scrambled to get outside to take a look. The bikers were wonderful, taking time to chat to us all and show off their bikes. The sun was shining, it was the perfect day to join a biker club.

There was one bike in particular that we were all very taken with, I have no idea what it was called but it was an enormous 3 wheeled beast of a machine. Sensing our obvious intrigue, the owner kindly began giving us all a spin around the car park on it. This was so much fun for everyone but for Roy it was a dream come true. Roy has always wanted to ride on a motorbike but had probably resigned himself to the fact that he’d maybe left it a little late, to watch him roaring around the car park and to see the look on his face was priceless. We all got a little emotional.

We are doing things here at Timken Grange that we never dreamed we’d do, life here is good, very good indeed.
