Cuddles were the order of the day here at Timken this week.
We love animals, large or small, furry or fluffy. Many of us have cared for a variety of them over the years, from dogs and cats, rabbits and guinea pigs, to horses, goats, sheep and even a snake. Of all the visitors to Timken, the animals are our favourite.
This week Lucia visited and brought with her a group of friendly animals to meet us. There were guinea pigs and a tortoise, a giant rabbit named Gorgie and a bantam chicken by the name of Ethel. Ethel appeared to feel very at home in our lounge.
All of the animals were thoroughly spoiled by us, they were petted, cuddled and fed a treat or two. We all had a wonderful time. Lucia has a wealth of knowledge when it comes to her animals, she kept us entertained with endless facts and stories and we just sat back and took it all in whilst cuddling our chosen furry friend.
The morning flew by way too quickly and we were sad to have to say goodbye so soon. Lucia’s visit brought back so many fond memories of our pets and we had a wonderful afternoon just reminiscing about the animals we have had the pleasure to have loved and cared for over the years.
We have a promise from Lucia that she will be back very soon with more of her menagerie, we can’t wait to see who visits next time.
