The 17^th of February is Random Acts of Kindness Day. We are lucky, every day here is full of random acts of kindness. The team go above and beyond to make sure that we have everything we need and more. Their kindness inspired us to spread a little happiness further afield.

On the 16^th we spent a wonderful day making cards and writing messages and the next day we set off accompanied by the management team to deliver a little bit of happiness to those we met.

It was so special, we approached passers-by and handed them our homemade cards and flowers and chocolates, we knocked on doors and surprised people on their doorstep.

Everyone we met was delighted, if not a little surprised, to be receiving a gift. We explained to them that we just wanted to make people smile and to let them know how special they are. Everyone was happy to stop and chat with us, they were really interested to hear about our lives at Timken Grange and we enjoyed regaling them with stories about everything that we do here.

It was a lovely day. When you spread kindness, it comes back tenfold and makes you feel warm inside. The team at Timken do so much for us, our rooms are cleaned, our dinners cooked and there is always something fun going on, it really was just wonderful for us to be able to do something for others. Kindness has a domino effect and on Thursday we were that first domino.
